She is here!

So, apparently that last post wasn't a blogging comeback and this proably isn't either... however we do have an announcement! Its a girl and she is here and she is lovely. Layla Vance was born on November 9th - 8 lbs, 4 oz, 21 inches long (does anyone even care how long a baby is?). An even more interesting stat is her feet - she's got her daddy's feet. They are long...3 1/2 inches to be exact (I just measured them). A friend of mine was thrilled when she saw them. She is a shopper (I am not) and she exclaimed, "She is going to be able to find the greatest cheap shoes! All of the good sale shoes are never in a size 7, 8, or 9!" I would have never thought of that.

Here she is:

She is a love. Labor was the best I have experienced thus far (and will experience for that matter). I was induced on her due date and had an awesome epidural - which makes me and Kennan both very happy. Me for obvious reasons and Kennan because then he doesn't have to sing to me during contractions. He did have to sing a few rounds of "I am a Child of God" this time around but nothing like he had to for Preston or Lauren. I think that I might get the good wife of the year award because I didn't demand his mad vocal skills when the anatheologist came in to give me the epidural. We are friends with the anetheologist and he might not have lived that one down in the OR. Two and a half hours of labor, a push and a half and little Layla was here.
It has been so fun to watch the kids with her. They are all so excited she is here and are so sweet with her.
